Offering training and practice in Suenaka-ha Tetsugaku-ho Aikido
Suenaka-ha Tetsugaku-ho (Suenaka style, philosophical way) Wadokai Aikido is a self-defense system designed to be street-effective while still maintaining and paying equal attention to spiritual, mental and moral/ethical development.
This style of Aikido is derived from the Founder Morihei Ueshiba O'Sensei's Aikido and that of Shin-Shin Toitsu Aikido founder Koichi Tohei Sensei. Suenaka-ha Tetsugaku-ho Aikido incorporates both the martial techniques (waza) and spiritual teachings of O'Sensei and the practical ki-development exercises developed by Koichi Tohei Sensei

What is your primary product or service?
We are a traditional martial arts school offering training and practice in Suenaka-ha Tetsugaku-ho (Suenaka style, Philosophical Way) Aikido. Our method of instruction is traditional budo training in a welcoming environment for beginners. Most of our members are professional adults age 30+. We are a no-contract school,
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Martial arts has always been a long time passion and it is an excellent way to help get into shape and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. We teach a very effective form of self defense in a traditional dojo environment.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We focus on teaching "street effective" techniques that can be relied upon while also emphasizing the mental/spiritual development of an individual.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location at this time.

Located just North of the College Mall in the Williamsburg shopping mall next to Learning Treasures.

Which areas do you service?
South-central Indiana (Bloomington and Monroe County). We do have a number of commuter students from as far away as the north side of Indianapolis and as far south as French Lick.

Saturday afternoons from 4-6 pm Sunday evenings from 7-9 pm
